Apple iPod : Fourth Generation

What more can you add to an MP3 player that is already too popular and does more than what you would want in a MP3 player. My answer would be that nothing extra could be added, but anything can be improved as far as we want. The 4th Generation of the iPod comes with great features in this case. It does what it always did, but new things of doing it have been improved.

As it can be seen from the above picture, two main features in terms of design stand out. One is the bright blue color and the other is the curved shape of the body. The new Nanos come in many colors (monochromatic colors to choose from), but all of them have the bright effect added to it. The best part of the new product is the new improved hi-tech and “with brains” functions as Apple calls them. The Genius playlist is introduced and its function is to find songs in the library that fit with the song you are currently listening to. This makes the two songs become a mash-up, as DJs call it.

Many devices these days have the new “shake” feature where you shake it, for example your cellphone, and it does things like go to next page or exit. The new iPod comes with the “shake” feature and by shaking it, you shuffle to another song. As the iPod Touch or the iPhone has it, the titling screen is offered here too, and its main idea is to view more on your screen by having the iPod horizontally. New games are now offered for the Nano and are made exclusively for it. There are free ones that come with the package, but for everything else you have to visit the iTunes Store.

These are practically the new additions to the fourth generation of the iPod. I will not talk about any negative points as I have not found any different then what would have been in the older generations.

I personally don’t like the shape of the ipod. The new curve effect is very cool thought I did prefer the iPod Nano before this model for sure. Far more smaller and compact. Though the new one has more space and more features of course. I’ll probably stick with my current Classic Video.

    Thanks for the article.
